We arrived at McConnell AFB near Wichita, Kansas. Fortunately, we have been ahead of all of the rain storms (and rock slides on I35) from Tropical Storm Bill. Here's Karen and Trixie relaxing after we arrived.
We visited the Old Cow Town Museum in Wichita. They have preserved 54 historic buildings over 100 years old and re-created others, by moving them to this site. Its a perfect snapshot of 1870's Wichita, KS. The Chisholm Trail was from here to Texas.
Rocks were used as fill between the timbers
This was looking down main street. There were several streets of shops and houses. I ran out of space on my IPhone so was unable to take them.
