One last thing to see before leaving Medora and heading further north. Last time we were here, Sitting Bull's headdress was on display. It was absolutely astonishing. However, we were disappointed as his headdress had been moved to Fort Yates where Sitting Bull is buried. He was captured and killed sometime after the Battle of the Little Bighorn or better known as Custer's Last Stand.
Here's Dennis and Myron walking up to the ND Cowboy Hall of Fame that explores the history of Native Americans, ranching, rodeo and the western lifestyle of the northern plains horse culture.
Great Grandson of Sitting Bull
Original pictures of the 1800's into the 1900's
Cooking on the cattle drives
Homestead homes
Sitting Bull and Buffalo Bill
Lots of Rodeo Champions are from ND. Had many of these at the Museum
Added this in. Who thinks of these things? haha
