End of the 2014 Journey

We left Howe, Indiana on September 25th to head to Ohio for a night and then on to Kentucky to visit with Karen's friend, Linda.  However, we had another bump in the road when our trailer separated from the coach after 23 miles on the road.  Fortunately no one was hurt and the trailer brakes came on as they were supposed to.  The locking pin was still in position so no one knows how it could have come off.  The electric jack hit the back of the coach and did some damage.   We decided to head back to Waco, Texas where we had the trailer built, so we ended our trip a couple of weeks early and headed straight home.  We drove over 5,000 miles in the four months since we left.  We seen a lot of country, visited many wonderful friends and family, learned a lot about our country's  founders, the Revolution and Civil Wars and a lot, lot more. We all had a great time, even with the bumps in the road.

Indiana

September 19 - 25, 2014

In Shipshewana, Indiana.  Karen and Marion loved this area.  Lots of Amish and beautiful landscapes here.

Eating at the Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, In

The Blue Gate Restaurant also had a theatre.  We ran out of time, but would have liked to see this play.
 And here's BOB (the horse).
Marion sat up front and drove Bob for most of the ride (not shown here).

We also visited Karen's old stomping grounds (years and years and years ago.....just kidding Karen) in Mishawaka, Indiana.  :-)

Western Michigan

We went to the west side of Michigan on September 15th and stayed in an RV park near Coopersville, Mi.  We visited with friends, Bob and Judy and Jim and Colleen while there.  We also toured some of the area and  a Farm Museum as shown below.
