September - The Rocky Mountain state of Colorado

Lots of pictures below of various areas in Colorado.  Loved some areas and other areas, not so much.
A main highlight was a train ride through the Royal Gorge area.  Wish we had more time for The Colorado Springs area, especially in the mountains west of there.  Lots of beautiful scenery. Going to the top of Pikes Peak is still on my bucket list.  Will do that on our next trip to this area.

On our way to the Denver Mint we spotted this truck.....didn't know Myron and Karen had a business in Colorado! :-)  I guess they don't, but if they did, this is what their signage would look like :-)

We wanted to take a tour at the Denver Mint but all tours were filled.      :-(    so we settled for the Gift Shop!   Who's that guy running to the gift shop!  One guess, his name starts with "D".

Traveled to Golden, Colorado (West of Denver).  Neat little town in the foothills of the Rockies.  They had a History Park with Pioneer homes and  a 1 room school house, as well as a few other buildings.  They all sat along a stream.  (PS: the guys did a tour at the Coors plant)
